The cleaning of the water radiator: The water radiator needs to be maintained and preserved regularly to ensure the heat exchange between the coolant and the air.In general, the diesel generator set should be cleaned of the exterior and interior of the water radiator after about 500 hours of operation.Cleaning the internal scale and sediment impurities, first drain the water in the radiator, then use clean water under pressure (such as tap water) to flush the core of the radiator until the water that comes out is clean.

Maintenance of water radiator: After using the water radiator for a period of time, if there is a leak, it can be repaired with solder.When an individual pipe is severely damaged and cannot be repaired, it is permissible to plug the pipe, but the number of plugged pipes cannot exceed three, otherwise it may cause the outflow temperature of the diesel generator set to exceed the permissible range.

Daily precautions: The pressure cover on the water inlet of the radiator can increase the pressure of the system to a certain range, which not only raises the boiling point of the coolant, allowing the system to operate normally at higher temperatures and at certain altitudes, but also improves the erosion resistance of the diesel generator set and water pump.The pressure cover is equipped with a steam valve and an air valve, which will automatically open when the positive or negative pressure inside the water radiator exceeds the specified value, thereby achieving the purpose of steam exhaust or air intake.

The diesel generator set should have the pressure cover closed while in operation to prevent interference with the normal operation of the cooling system.It is necessary to check the coolant level in the water radiator frequently and top up it in time. If the level is too low, it will affect the cooling effect of the system and accelerate the corrosion of the diesel generator set. At this time, you need to add coolant to the radiator, but do it carefully to prevent steam from hurting people.
